MAHILA SHISHU JAN VIKAS SAMITI (MSJVS) was founded in 1993 and registered in 1994 under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. It is an organization dedicated to the upliftment and betterment of women and children. The society has been consisting of a band of committed women with a multidisciplinary set and considerable grass-root experiences and volunteers committed to the cause of women and children, primarily, and the underprivileged and disenfranchised in general. MSJVS believes that all people should bear equal rights, privileges and opportunities. In the society, women can be catalysts for and agents of social change and that change itself are a gradual process. We recognize that restructuring gender relations require participation from all actors: women and men, young and old, grassroots to national levels, private and public institutions alike. MSJVS also believes that vocational training, increasing opportunities, counseling, facilitating self-help groups, and raising awareness of their rights, are key to restoring their self-worth and promoting communal harmony. MSJVS is dedicated to addressing the injustices faced by these women and elevating not only their standard of living but also their position in the community and their sense of self-worth. MSJVS aims to fulfill its vision by partnering and working with like-minded individuals/organizations who are committed to similar values and objectives MSJVS realizes that it is only through joint efforts that a truly conducive macro environment can be created for the care and growth of every individual.
